Our Safety Floor Decals / Signs are made from the very best materials in the business. Over the image surface is a VERY TOUGH poly carbonate over laminate that can take a beating - even from your forklifts and are anti-slip. The adhesive is a specially formulated adhesive which will stick securely to your floor, but will remove easily with the application of heat. Plus, they are easy to apply because of the special adhesive cross-hatch pattern. No need for an expert to come in an apply your safety floor decals.

Anti-Slip Warning safety floor decals and floor signs can significantly enhance your safety operation. Retailers use them on floors to get attention because they work! Putting your safety warning or information message on the floor will warn employees of dangers, cautions and rules of your facility. Plus, they can also provide guidance for employees to find specific items are areas like fire extinguishers or emergency showers. Messages on the floor often get more attention and provide more reinforcement than posters or signs on the walls. On the floor, employees see them over and over. On the walls, the signs often get lost in the background and ignored over time.

The OSHA 1910.145 definitions for floor decals and other decals are as follows:
• DANGER: "...shall be used in major hazard situations where an immediate hazard presents a threat of death or serious injury to employees. Danger tags shall be used only in these situations."
• WARNING: "...may be used to represent a hazard level between "Caution" and "Danger," instead of the required "Caution" tag, provided that they have a signal word of "Warning," an appropriate major message, and otherwise meet the general tag criteria of paragraph (f)(4) of this section."
• CAUTION: "...shall be used in minor hazard situations where a non-immediate or potential hazard or unsafe practice presents a lesser threat of employee injury."
• NOTICE: .. is used to address practices not related to personal injury.
• SAFETY FIRST: ...is used for admonitions not related to any of the above four.

Viewing Distance - The OSHA Standard is 25 feet per one inch of letter height for favorable conditions and 12 feet for UNfavorable conditions. Frankly, we strongly recommend ALWAYS Using as least the 12 feet per one inch of letter height standard. We have decades of experience in retail promotions where getting someone's attention and getting a message across is CRITICAL in a successful promotion. In retail, LARGE LETTERS are the rule if yo want some one to see and pay attention to it. In SAFETY, your goal is the same - get them to see it and pay attention to the message. Small letters are easily ignored, and harder to read, particularly if the reader's eyesight is less than 20/20.

Remember, your people are not going to stand in front of a decal or sign and take time to read and absorb the message. Just line in a retail store, they will take a quick glance. You have just a second or two for them to read and retain the message.
